Mike and I traveled to Coloardo over the Memorial Day long weekend this year. We were graciously hosted by Bill and Denise. Despite some less than ideal weather (rain, sleet, snow, hail....), we got a taste of what a beautiful place Colorado is, and we'd definitely like to get back and explore more. Saturday we visited Boulder and then did a drive through Rocky Mountain National Park. Sunday we visited Buffalo Bill's gravesite and museum, and then drove up Mt. Evans as far as Summit Lake (the rest of the road wasn't yet open). Here we got to see Bill in action on the Alpine Rescue Team since there was a hiker who'd taken a 700ft fall. Then on Monday we went to Colorado Springs to see the Garden of the Gods, and then went to the Colorado Rockies baseball game against the LA Dodgers.
