August 28th, 2005
On August 28th, 2005, I completed my 2nd Ironman triathlon. I was extremely lucky to have an incredible support crew on hand! My best friends and training buddies Deb and Leslie made the trip from California, and my parents and sister Katie made the long drive from Alberta. Although a challenging day with many obstacles to overcome (illness, toothache, 90degF temperatures, bee sting, etc.....!!), I still PR'd by about 40min and finished in 13:38:20. But it was having friends and family there cheering me on and sharing in the day that made it truly special. Thanks guys! :) Below are links to more pictures.
